Baptism
Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. It serves as an outward symbol of our decision to surrender our lives to Jesus Christ, to be Born Again spiritually and to become followers of His ways and teachings.
When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. You die to yourself (the death of our fleshly selves) and are born again based on the decision to live for Jesus.
Water baptism is a public declaration of three things:
· You are a follower of Jesus Christ
· You are beginning a changed life in Christ
· You are part of a new Christian family

Small Groups
Use the navigation menu to find out more about our Small Groups. We have Bible studies all throughout the week, as well as Men's and Women's social groups. We also love sports at Heritage Church! There's something for everyone. Getting plugged into a Small Group will help you build a community of friends who are also Christian believers. This keeps us in God-centered activities and holds us accountable in our walk.
Discipleship
Are you ready for something more? After Jesus was resurrected, He was pretty specific about what His followers were supposed to do. “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19–20) If you've decided to follow Jesus Christ, it's time to model your life after Him, and follow His teachings. Our current discipleship classes are in session, but there will be openings in June. Sign up if you're interested!
